On Thursday, June 13, 2019, Michael Daniels, Regional Director of the New Brunswick Children’s Foundation, met with, Fiona Williams, Executive Director of Partners for Youth, in Fredericton, NB to present a $5,000 grant to the organization.
The grant from the New Brunswick Children’s Foundation will support Camp Tippy Canoe, a summer camp program run by Partners for Youth. Campers attend a five day, four-night sleep-away camp at North Lake, NB. Two days involve canoeing to campsites where the campers set up tents and learn about camping along the historical Maliseet Trail Portage Route located in the area. A new group of campers attend each week over eight weeks in the summer.
It is free for every camper to attend Camp Tippy Canoe, so donations from the community ensure that we can run this program from year to year. We are thankful to the New Brunswick Children’s Foundation for the generous grant to our camp.
The New Brunswick Children’s Foundation has 150 year history of supporting children. In the last 40 years the Foundation has granted over $15 million to groups, organizations and programs that assist children facing social, economic and health challenges.
