Our organization is always looking to enhance the programs we offer. In our over 30 years of work, we have developed and delivered dozens of youth empowerment programs. In some cases, projects have come and gone over a limited timeline; other initiatives of PFY have been around for as long as our organization itself. For more information on the programs we’re currently working on, click on the images below.
The PFY Summer camp provides summer experiences to hundreds of youth each year and school groups during parts of the off season. Our goal is to engage youth over a longer period to ensure they receive all the support they need as they transition into high school and beyond.
Coordinated for youth by youth, Making Waves seeks to promote healthy relationships while helping participants develop their leadership skills. The program is offered each year in schools throughout New Brunswick and on Prince Edward Island.
The New Brunswick Youth In Care Network seeks to develop a sense of belonging and a spirit of leadership in youth who find themselves in the provincial care system. Network members have had a considerable impact on the policies that govern and administrators who manage the care system.
The Youth Works program seeks to help current and former youth in care and at-risk youth who feel lost and overwhelmed when thinking of their career and employment future. It is for youth entering adulthood who require support and guidance to a more successful future.
Dots NB was created in response to a 2008 report entitled Connecting the Dots: A report on the condition of youth-at-risk and youth with very complex needs in New Brunswick published by then Provincial Child and Youth Advocate Bernard Richard.
Youth in Action for Mental Health puts youth voices and ideas into action. Through a peer-based project development model, YAMH starts with the creation of youth leadership teams in participating schools.
Sport3 has been created for youth to promote better conversations and dialogue with a strong emphasis on conflict resolution and positive mental health skills and tools. In partnership with the Leacross Foundation and Partners for Youth Inc. this is a continued learning experience allowing for the students and teachers to learn together.
PFY Connect supports rapid access to appropriate licensed counselling therapy for youth ages 14 – 24. PFY Connect will support up to 8 sessions and provide additional support between sessions & address other barriers to access for youth anywhere in the province.
Trust isn’t built overnight, and real change doesn’t happen in one moment. At Partners for Youth, we’ve learned that the most powerful thing we can do is keep showing up. Again and again. Over time.
The youth we serve often come from places where trust has been broken or systems have let them down. That’s why our focus is on relationships, not just results. We don’t expect immediate progress—we commit to being there through every high and low.
💬 “You matter. We see you. We’re still here.” – that’s the message we send, not with words but with consistency.
Visit our website and read our latest blog to learn why long-term commitment is at the heart of everything we do—and how that commitment helps young people heal, grow, and lead.
